Removing and reinstalling the cartridge might help. Any suggestions on other solutions? This is a "known defect" that is non-repairable. Figure 14: Remove the nozzle protective tape 1 - Nozzle protective tape CAUTION: Do not touch the copper electrical contacts or ink nozzles. Source
See if HP would replace it. I have 4 of these machines in my shop now with the same problem and I am in a small town of less than 100K. Make sure that the product is turned on. Put some on and leave it alone for the curing time stated in the instructions! The drilling and cable tying is instant, cheap and very effective. If the spring has ripped a hole in the printhead contacts, then you will not be able to fix it. You have to be real careful because it's a metal strip with slots and it is really easy to kink it, rip it etc. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Remove-and-check-cartridge-on-right/td-p/335662 I never used it heavily and I don't have a pierced flex board, broken or unattached spring arm. I could see the problem, but each time I got the x-bias spring back into position, then inserted the new cartridge, I got the same message. http://orgias.org/remove-and/hp-officejet-7410-all-one-error-remove-check-cartridge-right.html Thank you! I found the responses to include a process that i had in fact already tried and was aware of, i suppose i was looking for a response which was different to the obvious one to try. I tried but there is no diagrams on hp website to help diassemble. The key here is to be persistent. have a peek here Strange.

thanks - rstarck 0 Is their anyway to fix the 7310 printer problem ANY WAY!!!!! If you think you have received a fake HP Support message, please report it to us by clicking on the blue “Report Inappropriate Content” button above the message. The wire spring in the black ink slot came loose and damaged the circuit board. I can see the silver wire has come loose (I presume this is the same problem others have talked about) and can see it should be possible to secure it in some way, but not sure I can tackle epoxying this thing back together myself.
It appears I am looking good at getting a scrap 7310 on online auction to use for parts. I have been getting the "Remove and check cartridge on right" message. NOTE: HP cannot guarantee the quality of remanufactured or refilled cartridges. Good luck.
Also, thinking that perhaps the ink cartridge was not manufactured exactly to its proper size and shape, when i inserted the cartridges back into their slots I slightly pressed them in to be sure the contacts would touch.I was happy to see that now the error message is gone and my printer is printing again....well, at least for now. by unknown on Apr 8, 2007 at 4:28am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 The silver wire is just a spring, not a sensor.I use Araldite rapid in the UK but any two part epoxy should be OK.Make sure you read the safety instructions and don't spill any.Patience is also required.
