I look forward to hearing from you. I have run HP Printer and Scanner Doctor, and it fails. I recently got a virus and my software got messed up. No one at HP will give us a solution.
thanks ssooo much Bert for your help!! It continues to stay on the left side and it does nothing. I hope it actually helps...Denny Conway by Denny Conway on Mar 7, 2005 at 10:53am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 my printer gobbled up six sheets of paper while I was trying to print, they are stuck tightly and I can't find out from the Reference Guide how to get them out. Message erads "icorrect black cartridge installed" I have cleaned the contacts inside and on the cartridges.
I have checked that the WIA, Shell Hardware Detection and Remote Procedure Call are all "started" and set to "automatic." I have stopped and restarted all of them as directed in other forums all with no avail. Any fuse would be inside. The printer itself is fine. Everytime I turn it on it says scanner failure.

Can someone help me out with this problem? If you are using Windows XP, go to Microsoft.com and download their free antispyware software, otherwise download Spybot Search and Destroy (do a Goggle search to find it). It is a hp psc 750xi. Any suggestions, I'm ready to toss it out the window. Go in control panel and select scanners and cameras to use your scanner or look in the hp folder in the start menu and start the solution center.
Thanks!!! Now go to start > select the hp scanner from the start menu - click on it. I am so annoyed because it really does seem like its working selectively!
The driver was last updated, according to the HP site, 16 October 2014, and that update was one to make it more Win 8.1 compatible. by Bob on Oct 1, 2004 at 5:20am Add comment everytime I try to print I get a message to align page on scanner glass. Does the PSC750 require both the black AND the color cartridge installed to function? It seems that the only drawback to the Windows drivers, and not the HP software, is that you cannot scan from the printer itself to the computer, you need to use the computer's interface. by Christine on Nov 20, 2004 at 1:51pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 I had the problem where it says scanner failure and to shut off and turn back on, I cleaned the glass and it seemed to fix the problem or so I thought, It let me make a single copy and let me scan 1 picture onto my computer but now it keeps saying scanner failure again when I scan but it lets me use the copy option. Is there any other way to use the scanner without having to install anything?
I have dissabled printer, unplugged it, upgraded software, used HP scan doctor which told me my USB port was incorrect (even though I have been using thatport sinceI got my new Dell desk top).
