So needless to say, I'm NOT going to purchase another HP product even though I do like the scanner and software...Hope this helps someone else... since the setup wasn't compatible with vista, I threw it away and downloaded the latest driver at that time, 5 years ago.
Treat it gently!I did fix my current problem by going to the HP website and downloading new drivers for my printer. My page setup was B5(JIS) in the word document,but in the Control Panel Printer settings in the Main Tray assignment it was Letter. But then that created the HP Solution Center error. You did not answer the most important questions, 1 & 2. I had an HP printer for less than a year at which time part of a gear wheel fell out and it was toast. To try few steps.Remove the rear access door from the rear of the printer.when you load stack of paper make sure that there is no moisten on the surface of thepaper .Make sure topushedthe paperinsidetill endand should be visiblewhen view from rear of printer.When view from the rear door , make sure that paper pick rolleris on the paper.Press and hold cancel button, and then press Start back button once and release both the buttons.Ideally the printer will feed thepaper inand will come out from the rear door (Since there is no rear access door installed)During this process if the paper comes from the rear door then there is no problem with the printer (Close therear access door firmly and pressOn/Resume buttonto continueprinting)Solution 3Ifpaper is not picked,it would not come out from the rear door. by unknown on Dec 16, 2004 at 5:05pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 jim tarro Check and see if the encoder strip is connected on both ends.
