So I google searched for Internal Health LED red and found that powering down the server and removing all the ram, removing the board battery, flipping switch 6 on, placing 1 stick of ram back in, and then putting the board battery back in could possibly be a resolution for this issue. http://orgias.org/hp-proliant/hp-proliant-ml350-error.html

However the red LED near the VGA and serial port is what I am still unable to find a meaning for since it is not on the diagram that is in the manual. I can only assume that since I cleared the NVRAM that affected iLO possibly can't find anything stating otherwise.   Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: HP ML350 G5 2 x 5130 w\10GB RAM HP ML350 G5 boot fail on spinup Use for old HP ML350 G5 server   8 Replies Jalapeno OP RSEP22 Aug 24, 2013 at 6:17 UTC Check out page 13 here to confirm what has failed on the motherboard. Guess what - the server started up and went through the motions fine.I would therefore say that the first thing to try if you have the symptoms above is to replace the power supply - after checking that the wattages, and preferably HP part nos are the same (I was lucky the power supply I used was exactly the same in these respects. 0 Kudos Reply edonley Occasional Visitor Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content ‎11-25-2013 12:34 PM ‎11-25-2013 12:34 PM Re: HP ML350 G5 internal & external health leds blinking on front panel We had the same issue with an ML350 G5 tower model. Hp Proliant Ml350 G5 Memory Configuration There is an internal health LED blinking red on the front panel. (Item #3 on Page one of the PDF).

So I don't understand why PPM2 is amber. It was a blue dot next to the revision number.I tried to connect the power supply to one of the other outlets on the UPS, still got the same problem.I will now try to connect it directly to the wall outlet with a new cable.LED numer 8 is yellow when this error happens. From what I can see on page 78 in the manual (link posted earlier) this is PPM 2 failed. But there is only one CPU in this server. It COULD be LED 7 that is yellow, but that means CPU FAN 2 failure... Off Steadily amber A critical fault condition has been identified for this drive, and the controller has placed it offline. it leapt in to life. However, it isn't the end of the story as I then took the second processor out of one of the working servers and put it in the cpu0 slot of our original dead machine and it still won't start and still has the same flashing LED's.What is going on with these servers! 0 Kudos Reply Paul Daws Frequent Visitor Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content ‎02-07-2014 09:03 AM ‎02-07-2014 09:03 AM Re: HP ML350 G5 internal & external health leds blinking on front panel Your servers may not both have the same fault. So where a CPU may fix one machine it may not fix the other machine.I'df suggestyou tryreplacing the PPM next, this may fix the problem. 0 Kudos Reply DIMITRIS_10 Occasional Visitor Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content ‎03-04-2014 06:08 AM ‎03-04-2014 06:08 AM Re: HP ML350 G5 internal & external health leds blinking on front panel hI PaulI have the exact same problemTried all of the above, haven't replaced the motherboard yet (and I m not going to)What do you mean by PPM? 0 Kudos Reply « Previous 1 2 Next » The opinions expressed above are the personal opinions of the authors, not of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
