As a guest, you can browse and view the various discussions in the forums, but can not create a new topic or reply to an existing one unless you are logged in. Other than the specific problem I described regarding scanning, everything else works PERFECTLY, including printing over the wireless network (regardless of whether the printer, computer, or both, are connected wirelessly). First Time Here? But pressing the right-arrow rocker switch next to the OK button doesn't advance to the "select computer" step (whatever that is). When I touch the Scan app on the printer, this is the error message I receive (on the printer):"Connection ErrorThe connection to the computer has been lost OR the HP Scan application cannot detect the OCR software.

So I am not sure if it's my laptop, Compaq Presario C306US, Window XP Service Pack 3, is the problem or something. So if there's no way to connect your AIO to your router with an ethernet cable (e.g., if the priter is in a different room) you are SOL and should probably try another printer, as HP will never fix this.
