That means that in my network, my printer is always 192.168.1.20 for instance, and even if it is not turned on, no other device can use this local IP address. mikshar Level 1 (0 points) Q: HP Officejet 6500A won't scan. Imagine if you were in an office comples and users were incorrectly selecting your system to scan to insead of their own. Printer will only scan to the only PC which is connected with USB, the other PCs connected via Wi-Fi won't have that option.
