This procedure may have to be repeated with each time you turn on the printer if you are using refill cartridges. They never had anything to do with Xerox. It's the ink cartridges that cost so much! The problem is with cartridge , this printer supports 21 / 27 black cartridges so decided to replace my hp21 cartridge with hp 27b simple black cartridge. But afterwards it still refuses to print a file.

I have followed the instructions, and executed a "clean the cartridge" routine, printed a test page etc. I suspect this is a kind of thing, to force normal users to bring this device to service or buy a new one. This sucks.

Anyway, I have spent the past 2 weeks emailing HP, who have had lots of suggestions which I have followed methodically.

Or can I just run the copy machine without connecting to a PC? I just got mine going by taking a little scrap piece of paper, folding it in half, and shoving it on the right side of the cartridge when I installed it. Loading...Oops :Please try again. Hence, HP might refer to "tap test #6", "tap test #9", and so forth.I am not sure what all of the various tap tests do, but I would imagine there is probably a tap test that resets the internal counter responsible for making the printer reject the cartridges.

I'm going to buy a printer from a manufacturer who cares about their customers and isn't just trying to get rich on the ink revenue stream. I did have a network scanner loaded on computer from work do i need to uninstall to use another scanner? So, the dirty contacts may not have been the problem, but who knows?
