Consequently, something is blocking the communication of the printer with the computer over the wireless network. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/LaserJet-Pro-400-MFP-M475dn-Networked-cannot-send-fax-from/td-p/5053731 My patience is limited with this printer (and every other printer I have ever had to use) so the option of buying a new one is very appealing. When I try to fax from my computer it doesn't see the printer, even though I can run the Fax SETUP Utility and configure the printer/fax from the computer. I finally discovered it was Internet Explorer 11 that was causing my problems.

Since that doesn't work on this printer, I have to print anything I wish to fax, then send it the traditional way, which totally sucks. The only way I can figure out to print is plugging the printer into my laptop. While it is intuitely possible to use the 1536dnf as a MODEM, it is an overly complex solution to simply getting a $50 'Zoom' modem, which leaves my 1536dnf available for other tasks. 0 0 pcwizard Provost Posts: 12,147 Member Since: ‎12-31-2009 Message 12 of 28 (3,631 Views) Report Inappropriate Content Re: Problems with fax software on 1536dnf Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content ‎10-08-2012 11:43 AM Hi AndyinOregon,Thank you for the update.

After reboot under Windows Features there will be only an option for activate IE8...However: fortunately I don't need IE11 and I work on WIndows 7/64 - but what will an user of Windows 8.1 do?I'll hope that the developer of hp and Microsoft will find an solution for this problem. It seems HP has known about this bug and sees many call in's to their support as well as people here complaining and they continue to do nothing.
