Anytime you have a true "Client / Server" application using the TCP protocol, then the O/S actually uses a different port for the return connection when it accepts the socket. 10060 Socket Error right when i turn the computer on it isnt though, if that makes sense. If you have a personal firewall, try lowering the security or disabling it to see if it is causing the issue. (Remember to re-enable it after testing) 3. That is Microsoft for you!...

its still not working. If you are facing this problem then it is also possible that you are connected to a slow proxy service. The remote server may be refusing multiple connections from the same client. any suggestions?

Remember this is an SME, therefore the client uses the Server for Everything (budget) e.g. YES the browser isconfigured as a Web proxy client and YES it's configured to use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections too All machines on the network are configured to use microsoft firewall client for isa server 2004. i can also tracert to external sites and my request complete, its working ok, but when i donslookup then it show request timeout for external sites, but dns working ok for internal site.
Regardless what the underlying cause of the error may be, here is what you can do to fix the problem: How to identify Socket Error 10060 on your system? This would have to be done either on the remote machine itself, or on the remote machine's defined Gateway. (see attached diagram) Lastly, if nothing else above resolves your issues, you also need to find out if you are doing any type of port filtering, or VLAN filtering, or if you have some type of Application-Layer firewall installed, or even when defining specific access lists (ACLs) over VPN connections . The Mini Remote Control program will first attempt a straight TCP connection to the remote machine, using the Port that you specified for communication.
