I'm using the J6450 and the #6 trick worked! I then bought a new HP Black 337 Cartridge and on installing it, the printer displayed "genuine black printer cartridge installed" and all now works OK. On more life-long HP customer heading elsewhere for their next printer. Turn on and install cartriges and do an alignment. This did not work either.The company has indicated that they will now replace the cartridge free-of-charge and take back the old one so they can inspect it further.
